Where Manpada is
Ghodbunder Road leaves the Eastern Express Highway at Kapurbawdi and runs north-west towards Gaimukh and the Mumbai–Ahmedabad highway. Manpada is the stretch just past Kapurbawdi, with Hiranandani Estate on one side and the forested Yeoor Hills on the other. The neighbourhood is mostly gated high-rise communities built from the 2000s onwards.
What daily life looks like
- Shopping: R Mall and D-Mart on Ghodbunder Road, with Viviana and Korum malls a short drive away.
- Healthcare: Hiranandani Hospital close by; larger hospitals towards Pokhran Road and the highway. See schools and hospitals.

What's changing in Manpada
Two big projects meet here. Metro Line 4 runs on a viaduct down Ghodbunder Road, and the Thane–Borivali twin tunnel starts at Manpada and runs under the national park to Borivali. Together they turn Manpada from the far end of Thane into a junction between Thane and Mumbai's western suburbs.
